COLLISIONS new
What happens when particles meet in the infinitely small? When souls meet in the infinitely complex? Three bodies on a bare stage explore the territory where quantum physics and human relationships touch, interpenetrate, and transform one another.
COLLISIONS starts from a question: can we communicate, change our own perspective and that of others? The observer effect, the uncertainty principle, the collision of particles become living metaphors for the encounter between people. The theatre becomes a laboratory: every evening an experiment, every performance a different measurement.
Born from the multi-year research project CHANGE MY MIND! and from visits to CERN in Geneva, the production brings the ideas of Niels Bohr, quantum mechanics and the science of collisions onto the stage: all filtered through body, voice, and gesture. Physical theatre in its purest form.

COLLISIONS was born within CHANGE MY MIND!, a multi-year research project (2025 – 2028) of the Markus Zohner Arts Company. The guiding question: can we communicate, change our own perspective and that of others?
The research starts from quantum physics and CERN in Geneva: observing what happens when particles collide in the accelerator becomes a key to understanding what happens when people meet. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, the observer effect, quantum superposition: scientific concepts that, translated into the language of the body and the stage, reveal profound truths about human relationships.
Niels Bohr wrote that the opposite of a trivial truth is a falsehood, but the opposite of a great truth is another great truth. COLLISIONS explores exactly this space: the territory where certainties dissolve and every encounter transforms both the observer and the observed.
